20 Things Worth Loving About America

Introduction

For years, I’ve enjoyed traveling all over the world. But there’s something special about exploring America. While there are thousands of places to visit in this vast nation, it’s hard to beat the breathtaking beauty of our national parks or the excitement of seeing new cities and towns for the first time. Here are 20 things I love about America:

The people.

Americans are the friendliest people in the world. We know it, you know it, and even your dog knows it. You can walk into a store and ask for directions without feeling like an idiot or being made fun of for not knowing where you’re going. You can strike up a conversation with someone at a party without them thinking that you’re trying to hit on them (although sometimes they may think that).

Americans are known for their hospitality–if there’s one thing we take pride in as Americans, it’s our ability to welcome strangers into our homes and make them feel at home while they’re here! This goes beyond just hosting guests; it includes being respectful towards others when dealing with them face-to-face or over social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter .

The landscape.

The landscape of America is nothing short of breathtaking. From the mountains to the oceans, deserts, forests and everything in between–there’s something for everyone to love about this country’s natural beauty.

The Grand Canyon alone is reason enough for many people to visit their national parks at least once in their lives. The sheer magnitude of it all will leave you speechless (and if it doesn’t then perhaps you should consider getting yourself checked out).

The freedom to live the way you want.

The food.

Food is a big part of the American culture. You can find many kinds of food available, from fast food to fine dining and everything in between. American cuisine has been influenced by many cultures, including Native Americans and immigrants from around the world. You can find excellent food in every city and state in America–it’s just a matter of knowing where to look!

That’s a big country.

The United States is the third largest country in the world, with a landmass of almost 3 million square miles. That’s more than double that of our nearest competitor (Canada), and nearly twice as large as China’s 1.4 million square miles. It’s also about three times larger than all of Europe combined, which makes sense when you consider that North America was once known as “the New World.”

The fact that there are so many diverse ecosystems means we have an incredible array of wildlife here too–more than 750 species of mammals alone!

The music.

You can’t talk about America without talking about music. It’s one of the most important parts of our culture, and has been since we were founded in 1776. The music of America tells stories from all over this great nation, and it’s a window into different places throughout the country–and even abroad! If you want to learn more about where someone is from, ask them what kind of music they like best (and then listen closely). You’ll probably find out something interesting about them or their home state that way!

Our national parks.

America has a lot of national parks, and they’re worth visiting. You might think that the government would just throw up a bunch of signs and call it good, but no! The National Park Service actually protects these places with their best efforts and makes sure that they stay beautiful for generations to come.

The best part about our national parks is that they are full of wildlife–and not just cute little animals like squirrels or deer (though those are nice too). You can see deer in some places all right, but also bison! And bears! And wolves! And coyotes! If you love nature as much as I do then you should definitely check out one of these amazing natural wonders before they disappear forever:

All that history.

As the saying goes, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” History is important because it helps us learn from our mistakes and understand where we came from. It provides context for current events and gives us a sense of our place in time.

The roads and highways are wide open for driving pleasure.

Driving in America is a pleasure.

You get on the highway and there’s nothing but miles of open road ahead of you. You can go where you want to go, when you want to go there, at whatever speed suits your fancy (within reason). And if something catches your eye along the way–a pretty mountain range or interesting town–you can pull over and explore at leisure.

States like Texas, Wyoming and Alaska offer some of the best scenery in the world.

The natural beauty of the West is something to behold. From the mountains and plains to desert canyons and national parks, there’s no shortage of stunning landscapes here in America.

The wildlife that inhabits these areas is also worth mentioning–you’ll find animals like elk in Colorado, pronghorn antelope in Wyoming and moose in Alaska (to name just a few).

There are many baseball diamonds throughout America where you can take your kids to play ball games and have a good time.

No matter where you go in this great country, there’s always something fun to do or see nearby! This includes amusement parks, festivals and rodeos, fairs, parades – you name it! One of my favorite things about being American is getting to know new places and meeting new people from all over this amazing land we call home!
