Explore America’s Creative Pulse While You Make Money Through Photography

Introduction

Want to take a trip, but don’t want to spend all your money? Sounds crazy, I know. However, if you’re like me and have a passion for photography and travel, there’s no reason why you can’t combine the two. America is full of amazing sites that are perfect for anyone who wants to get out of their comfort zone and explore this great country while making money through photography in the process. In this article we’ll go over some ways that you can do both by traveling America while taking photos—and earning extra cash along the way!

Travel America and Visit Our Nation’s Parks

  • Visit America’s national parks. There are over 400 of them, and they’re all beautiful, historic and worth exploring.
  • Stay in hostels. You can find these accommodations almost anywhere you go (hostelworld has listings for every state), and they’re generally affordable ways to meet people from all over the world while saving money on your travels.
  • Get to know the locals! The best way to experience a place is through its residents–and if you’re staying at a hostel or hotel near one of these communities, it’s easy enough just ask around when you see someone interesting walking down the street or sitting by themselves at an outdoor cafe table with their laptop open taking notes on their latest book project (no joke).
  • Take pictures of nature, wildlife and landscapes

Visit Historic Sites and Museums

Visit historic sites and museums. Museums can be a great place to learn about history, but they’re also an excellent opportunity for photography. They often have interesting architecture or interior design that you can use as a backdrop for your shots. If you’re lucky, there may even be some historical reenactments going on at the time of your visit! This is also an excellent way to meet other photographers who share your interests and passions–just make sure not everyone is taking pictures at once!

Focus on Your Own Creativity to Make Money with Photography

If you’re looking for a way to express yourself and make money at the same time, photography may be your answer. There are many ways that photographers can make money with their craft.

For example, if you have an eye for beauty and want to share it with others, consider selling your photographs as prints or on merchandise such as posters or postcards. You could also sell them through stock photo websites like Shutterstock where they will be used by other photographers (and even non-photographers) in their own projects.

Another option is taking photos of events such as weddings or parties–you’ll likely get paid for these services too!

Put Your Skills to Work Through Social Media and Blogging

Social media is a great way to showcase your work and build an audience. If you have Instagram, Twitter or Facebook accounts, consider using them as platforms for showcasing your photography skills. You can also use social media as a way of monetizing your photos: post them on these platforms and then sell prints from there (or offer editing services).

If you’re looking for ways to promote yourself as a photographer without having any clients yet, try using social media to let people know about your skills. For example, if someone asks me what type of photographer I am in my bio section on LinkedIn or Facebook profile page, I’ll include “photographer” in my response because it helps show potential employers what types of jobs I’ve worked on before–and maybe even give them ideas about how they could use me!

You can travel, learn and make money all at once.

You can travel, learn and make money all a the same time.

Take photos of your travels and create a blog to showcase them. Use social media to share your work with friends, family and potential clients. As you gain followers on Instagram or Facebook, start charging for photography services–it’s easy!

Conclusion

There are so many ways to make money with photography, but the best part is that you can do it while traveling and exploring America’s natural beauty. If you’re looking for an adventure this summer, take some time off work and head out on a road trip!
